Centre for Sustainable Polymers, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati has introduced a first of its kind , Masters of Science(Research) in Polymer Science and Technology. With the raise in concern regarding the chocking of the ecosystem by plastic waste and the need of sustainable alternatives, the course envisions development of  efficient professionals ,with dedicated concern of addressing  the grave problem at hand i.e. plastic pollution.

Eligibility Criteria:

For admission to the MS(R) programme in Polymer Science and Technology, a candidate must satisfy the following criteria:

  1. B.E/B.Tech or equivalent in any discipline, OR M.Sc. in Physics/Chemistry/Bioscience with a minimum 6.0 CPI on 10-point scale (or 60% marks)
  2. Valid GATE score for Regular category (GATE score is not mandatory for Non-Regular Categories)

 

The CPI/Marks criteria will be relaxed by 0.5 CPI (or 5% marks) for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
